Before our latest display home at Oakden Rise opened to the public, Regent Homes welcomed a select group of key media and design insiders for an exclusive preview evening. Held on Wednesday 28 May, the event offered guests a first look at a home that redefines what a luxury custom build can be – before the general public stepped through the doors.
As a custom home builder known for tailored design and refined finishes, this was more than a celebration; it was an opportunity to share the design narrative of Oakden directly with those shaping South Australia’s design conversation.
Curated for Experience, Designed for Connection
The Oakden Display Home is an expression of liveable luxury – grounded in functionality, but elevated by sculptural forms, natural light, and layered textures. From the curved staircase to the flowing open-plan zones, every element is designed with intention.
The event was a moment to experience the home as it was intended to be lived in — slowly, and with appreciation.
As guests arrived, they were invited to take a self-guided tour through the home, taking in its spatial flow, warm material palette, and contextual architecture. Curated styling and ambient lighting brought key spaces to life, while subtle floral installations by Studio Botanic added a soft, sensory layer throughout.
An Intimate Dining Experience
Set within the heart of the home, the 8-seater dining table provided the setting for a shared culinary experience. Across four seated rounds, guests enjoyed small bites and wine pairings in a setting designed to reflect the home’s warm, relaxed atmosphere.
Menus were crafted by the team at Salopian Inn, paired with wines from Howard Vineyard and signature cocktails by Love Mittie, including the Pink Lady and Espresso Martini. With mixologists stationed at the in-home bar, it was a seamless integration of hospitality and home – a hallmark of our luxury home builder ethos.
A Night for Industry and Insight
The Oakden Media Preview was intentionally designed as a quiet, considered launch – giving industry professionals, stylists (including Plus One Dress Hire who expertly styled our team), and media the space to connect, converse, and explore at their own pace. It was an opportunity to experience the Regent difference – not just in form, but in feeling.
Capturing the mood of the night was photographer Meaghan Coles, whose images reflect both the calm of the space and the energy of shared experience.

Following its media launch, the Oakden Display Home is now open to the public and available for walk-throughs each weekend.
