Meet Dan: Your Guide to Life After Handover

Meet Dan: Your Guide to Life After Handover
Because our service doesn’t stop when the keys are handed over.

At Regent Homes, building your dream home is just the beginning. From your first design consultation to the final touches on-site, every stage is handled with care, expertise, and a commitment to quality. But what happens after the big moment; handover day?

That’s where Dan comes in.

Meet Dan, the man in charge of after Handover Home Care.

Dan is the friendly face you’ll see on handover day, and the go-to person you’ll come to appreciate even more in the weeks and months that follow. With a background in building and a knack for problem-solving, Dan is all about making sure you feel confident, supported, and settled in your new Regent home.

What Dan Does

On handover day, Dan walks you through the practical side of your new home. Think of it like an owner’s manual, but better. He’ll explain how to operate your appliances, where to find key shut-offs, and how to get the most out of the finishes and features throughout your home. You’ll also receive your home documentation, warranties, and maintenance recommendations — all tailored to your home.

From there, Dan becomes your dedicated point of contact as you begin living in your home. If a small issue pops up — maybe a door handle needs adjusting or you notice a minor scratch — Dan is the person to call. These early teething moments are completely normal, and he’s there to make sure they’re sorted. That’s why Dan is our Maintenance Manager.

The Regent Difference: It’s Not Just a Maintenance Period

While many builders enforce a strict maintenance window, we take a different approach. We know our homes are built to last, and we stand by our craftsmanship. That’s why our Home Care approach is designed to be flexible and client-focused — not clock-driven.

Around three months after you’ve moved in, Dan will check in again. By then, you’ve lived in the home long enough to notice the little things that might need attention. Whether it’s a paint touch up or a cabinetry tweak, he’ll arrange any necessary follow-up works and ensure every last detail is seen through.

Dan typically works with our clients for about six months post-handover, or until everything is resolved. No scripts, no hurdles — just genuine aftercare from someone who knows your home inside and out.

Why It Matters

Settling into a new home is exciting; but it’s also a learning curve. Our goal is to make that transition as smooth and stress-free as possible. With Dan in your corner, you’ll never feel like you’re navigating it alone.

At Regent Homes, we’re proud to build homes that speak for themselves. But we’re even prouder to have people like Dan who make sure you feel right at home.
