Select a question below to find your answer.
Can we use our own trades or suppliers?
We do encourage clients to get involved in the building process, however recent changes to Occupational Health and Safety Regulations has made it very difficult to allow. However, feel free to discuss your ideas with our staff.
How long does it take to build a new home?
Our construction periods are generally 24–28 weeks for single storey homes, and 34-38 weeks for standard two storey homes. This varies depending on size, complexity and whether it is house only or turn-key (a property delivered to you in a ready-to-use condition).
How long does it take to gain council approval?
The process of each council varies, but initial planning approval generally takes 6–10 weeks. We then use a private certifier to obtain full building approval, which helps to speed up the process.
What areas do you build in?
Regent Homes build throughout the entire metropolitan area of Adelaide, extending in the south of the state to the Fleurieu Peninsula, to the east including Mt Barker and Murray Bridge and to the north out to Clare and the Barossa valley. For more information, please contact our sales office.
Can we make changes to your designs?
Yes. As a custom builder, we offer complete design flexibility. Simply tell us what you want, or seek professional advice from our design team.
Will you quote on my existing plans?
Yes! We encourage you to bring your own plans in for a free quotation.
Do you demolish and rebuild?
Yes. Our team of professionals include demolition contractors. This means we can complete any project from start to finish.
Can you build on sloping sites?
Yes. We've been building on sloping sites successfully for over 23 years. We build on sites labelled too difficult by other builders.
Do you build in materials other than brick veneer?
Yes. Regent Homes staff are constantly analysing alternative building materials, and have successfully used a wide range of products. The most common include various James Hardie cladding boards, autoclaved aerated concrete (e.g. Hebel) or RendaPanel. To discuss all the possibilities for your home, please contact us.
